Watered Body

This work was created for and performed at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s In/Form Performance Festival, 2022, at Links Hall in Chicago, IL.

Watered Body examines the fluidity of the body's transubstantiation of water into abject. By employing symbols of containment and control, this piece explores consumption, spilling, leaking, release, ejection, and exchange. A meditative plunge into the hierarchical precipitation of fluids and the function of waste as a human condition - the act of looking at our biological perversity and pleasure through the clear and reflective lens of the spectacle.
